In the Spotlight! Idge Imbrulia

This is one of the many installments of the "In the Spotlight!" series I will add. I will do one UPC or Stock Character a day and evaluate each of its perks and flaws and rate it myself on an overall scale of 1-10. I will not list the individual skills of these UPCs or Stocks, as you can easily find them by going to http://www.bookofwind.blogspot.com/. I will list, though, the stats and stances of each UPC or Stock I evaluate.

Today's UPC is Idge Imbrulia.

Stat Evaluation

Strength : 6
Agility : 7
Constitution : 5
Dexterity : 6
Intellect : 3
Charisma : 3

Stats Pros/Cons

Pros
1. Moderate Strength
2. Over-average Agility

Cons
1. Low Constitution

Stances

Bareknuckle - Virtually Useless

Plow Guard - Just one of Idge's pre-vet greatsword stances. It is the only one with block and thus gives her some defensive capabilities.

Roof Guard - One of Idge's pre-vet greatsword stances. It has the highest attack speed and has a powerful finisher skill.

Tail Guard - Idge's most useful pre-vet greatsword stance. It has a skill that makes those hit's defense zero. It also has a very powerful finisher skill and a spammable knockdown skill thats pretty powerful too.

Sidewinder - Idge's veteran greatsword stance. It is almost a carbon copy of Tail Guard but with a line-aoe and a bit more attack speed. I think Tail Guard is more useful overall.

Hanging Guard - One of the expert stances. It uses a greatsword to deliver incredible damage whilest ignoring all block, so therefore fighters using Defender will run from you for a change! Sadly I can't go into more detail because this stance hasn't came out in SotNW as of yet.

Blandir Cruz - Idge's pre-vet polearm stance. It has a fast AoE auto attack. Nice spammable skill.

Penetrar Cruz - Another one of Idge's pre-vet polearm stances. Only skill of Idge's that hits flying monsters. Overall weaker than Blandir because it only targets one in auto attack. But it also has higher critical rates.

Mighty Cruz - Idge's best stance. Very powerful skills. Fast AoE auto attack.

Stance Pros/Cons

Pros
1. Obviously one of the heavy weapons specialist's dream builds.
2. Mighty Cruz is the best heavy weapon stance thus far in SotNW.
3. Has access to Hanging Guard, whos skills ignore defense on sheilds and entirely ignores block.

Cons
1. Restricted to Heavy Weapons, therefore you will recieve a penalty when fightning light armored foes.

Performance
Idge is obviously the fastest heavy weapons user in the game with seven agility and has the same strength as a fighter. Idge's uses are far and wide, you could use her to land stun on entire familys in PvP with auto attacking with Mighty Cruz; alternativly, you could use her as a full on fighter, which is what most people do, because with eight strength at expert and a nice polearm, she can definiatly wipe entire familys with a single skill.

Overall Pros/Cons

Pros
1. Specialized heavy weapons expert.
2. Fastest heavy weapons user.
3. Can wear Metal armor.

Cons
1. Low Con for a Fighter.

Overall Rating

8/10

In the Spotlight! Lisa Lynway.

This will be the first installment of my "In the Spotlight" series.

Today's UPC is Lisa Lynway.

Stat Evaluation

Strength : 5
Agility : 8
Constitution : 5
Dexterity : 6
Intellect : 3
Charisma : 3

Stats Pros/Cons

Pros
1. Fast as a speeding bullet

Cons
1. Low strength, therefore low power.
2. Low constitution, therefore will die easily.

Stances

Bareknuckle - Virtually Useless

Escrima - Lisa's single dagger pre-vet stance until Arnis comes out with version 3.0.

Dobalada Corte - Lisa's pre-vet double dagger stance, it has its uses with one or two skills in pvp after vet.

Raid Assault - Lisa's unique double dagger stance, no one has it but her. It has the strongest light weapon skill, good aoe for knockdowns during Pvp, a powerful "line" skill, and a powerful spammable skill.

Arnis - Lisa's Expert single dagger stance. It has very nice evasion, penetration, and attack speed at level 25. Almost all of it's skills have a chance to ignore more defense. Even though I would love to go more in-depth with this stance, it isn't out on Sword of the New World yet as it comes in version 3.0.

Stance Pros/Cons

Pros

1. Perfect setup as Lisa is the most specialized dagger user in the game.
2. She has her own unique stance, which is also a very powerful one too.
3. Lisa gains access to an Expert Stance in version 3.0.

Cons

1. Her Raid Assault stance only has 13 block(stance level 25), thus leaving Lisa vulnerable to almost any and all attacks.
2. Her pre-vet single dagger stance is neigh useless after veteran because Raid Assault completely overshadows it in strength and power.
3. Expert melee stances have low accuracy, but the SotNW community has been informed that Arnis is the most accurate.

Performance

Lisa can pretty much be coupled with any other characters because she specializes in one aspect, single-target light weapon damage, which completely annihilates any and all light armor wearers(Elementalists, Wizards, and Musketeers.) With this being said, Lisa is by far one of the worst multi-task characters because she is so specialized, but that is of course why you couple her with big damage dealers such as Elementalists, Musketeers, Fighters, Claudes, ect. But lets see our team setup so far, Lisa/[see list from above]/??? What could we possibly put in the third slot? I strongly recommend a scout. With the scout's ability to give Lisa extra power and attack rating from Insistendo, HP and defense rating from Forte, Attack Speed from Accelerando, Penetration from Consilidation, and HP and MP recovery from Meditavio and Divine Blessing; they truely give her a much needed power boost.

But having Lisa in a team so she can use her specialization to the full advantage isn't enough. Lisa must definatly have the best possible daggers to do the max damage she can do because the high damage dealer in your second slot of your team will overshadow her and why would you want to level her anymore if shes totally useless? Although this rule can be lifted a bit depending on your goals for her. If you want to take her all the way to grand master, I would definatly consider investing much vis into her daggers and armor. If you only want her for status effects and colony breaking, I would advise one Veteran Polish Dagger and a 92elite dagger enchanted with speed and poison/stun.
_______
Overall Pros/Cons

Pros

1. Specialized in light weapon damage.
2. Very fast and perfectly suited for breaking colonies in Colony Wars or La Tierra de' Amor.
3. Her low damage to hard armored foes can be easily lifted by an Elementalist, Fighter, or other magical or heavy weapons user.
4. Her veteran stance, Raid Assault, is perfectly designed for one vs. one pvp due to her 9meter aoe knockdown skill and her finisher skill is pretty much a one-hitter on light armored enemies.

Cons

1. Horrible on Raids.
2. Specialized in one aspect of damage, light weapon damage. She does horrible damage to hard armor.
3. She dies easily due to low constitution.
4. She isn't very good in triple melee teams due to lack of means of defense(Evasion or Block). [Unless you use Escrima of course] <- subject to change once Arnis comes out 5. Horrible in Caebolan. (Although she does quite nicely in Bahamar and the Katovic Region.) 6. Could be easily replaced by Soho once version 3.0 arrives due to Soho having more Strength and may be more useful than Lisa with Arnis.

Introducing Myself!

Well, I guess you guys'd like to know whos talking to you huh? I'm Balbanies from the Orpesia Server of Sword of the New World. I started this game around two years ago in July, I've been going strong ever since. I enjoy long walks on Gigante Beach, constantly staring at my beloved Lisa Lynway, commenting on how sexy my clan mates are, and of course playing Sword of the New World. My Real Life Mother, MearnsQueen, also plays Sword of the New World, so if you talk about her, I'll taddle on you!
~Me on a "date" with my friend Epistia, sadly she left Sword of the New World awhile back.

I'm not exactly sure what way I will go with this blog, I created it at midnight on a boring day and honestly, I hope I stick with it, so you guys help me stick to it, Ok!? (=

First off, I'm in the Aegis Clan on Orpesia. We do not tolerate angry vultures who constantly come at us with Q.Q because their clan hasn't made it as far as us and they accuse us of botting and hacking. As far as I'm concerned we're one of the best clans in the world because we have defeated Novia ligitly with 17 people! We're dedicated and loose at the same time. Our conversations could range from a new strategy for Colony Wars and then jump to poking at each other in clan chat all the while laughing. Its truely a lovely environment for such a radically upheaved game Sword of the New World is right now.

~Us getting ready to go stomp Novia!

Enough about that stuff though, on to me and how I can help you guys! (:

On Orpesia, I run a totally unprecedented team setup; Lisa Lynway, Female Elementalist, and Female Scout. Most people told me to leave Lisa alone and go with a Fighter, but now I have those same people rooting for me to take Lisa all the way to Grand Master! (Assuming Grand Master comes out! Haha!) The reason I use this team though is to have fun, because this is a game after all!

~Me in the Bahamar, Underground Caverns Floor 2.
I'm here to teach you guys to not get sucked into the swirling abyss of the "LVL DIS TEAM OR U SUX" game. I want everyone to go with what they want to level the most in this game and make it the best it can be. If people tell you, "No! Its foolish, he/she will never stand up to endgame and theres nothing you can do!" or, "Honestly, how far do you think he/she will make it into this game?" Don't listen to them, I went through the same thing with leveling Lisa. Now Lisa is an amazing powerhouse in pvp along with my Elementalist and Scout(in the high leagues, I'm not talking about vet pio vs. vet pio stand off) and people congratulate me on that almost impossible feat daily.

~Me with the first Crystalin Dagger on Orpesia!
